Kids, the most anticipated movie of the year is almost here. The E.L. James erotic romance novel turned movie, Fifty Shades of Grey, has been quite a topic of controversy recently. People seem to either love or hate it, but one thing’s for sure, it’s got the nation’s attention. The film promises to delve into the complicated relationship between a college graduate, Anastasia Steele, and a young business magnate, Christian Grey. The novel is, of course, noted for its portrayal of an ingenue introduced to explicit sexual practices involving bondage/discipline, dominance/submission, and sadism/masochism. Yeah, woah. That’s all well and good but the folks at Feminist Fairytales would like to expose this tale for what it really is and give that Anastasia some dignity. Enjoy! (WARNING: Probably NSFW)
