Yeah, that list is beyond impressive. Among the SXSW Comedy events you won’t see anywhere else the festival will host the “world premiere” of James Adomian and Scott Aukerman’s sitcom The Embassy, with a live script reading. Above Average will present an evening benefiting The Ally Coalition, raising funds for Austin-based non profit OutYouth. The Upright Citizens Brigade will present a lineup of their best new programming including improv group Wild Horses. To add to the fun Comedy Central will be offering up a night of some it’s best and most whimsical programming including What’s Your Fucking Deal?! with Jay Oakerson and Ari Shaffir’s This Is Not Happening. If that wasn’t already overwhelming in the best way, Doug Love Movies will tape two episode of the film-centric podcast with some very special guests. The uber popular Comedy Store show, Roast Battle, will again have comics vying for dominance with Roastmaster Jeffrey Ross judging. And, for the first time in SXSW history, the festival will be a recording a comedy special of it’s own. SXSW attendees will get to be a part of live audience for 2 broadcast taping that will be hosted by W. Kamau Bell. The two live tapings will spotlight a different lineup of amazing comics.
