Let’s just say yentas are totally on trend right now. If you saw the last episode of The Goldbergs you’ll know what I’m talking about. Beverly Goldberg uses her yenta matchmaking powers to wreak havoc on her children’s school life. Enough said. IFC is getting on the yenta bandwagon with an order of the David Krumholtz comedy series Gigi’s Bucket List. The network has greenlit eight half-hour episodes which will premiere in late 2015. Krumholtz will transform himself into a 76-year old bubba who is keen on fulfilling her bucket list after her husband passes away. According to IFC the premise goes as follows:
If you are thinking this Gigi character sounds familiar, you are right. Krumholtz tranformed into the character on the Weather From website. There’s really nothing better than a nana giving you the weather with that extra bit of sass.
