I’ve never been one to jump on the sequel bandwagon but I must say I’m SUPER excited to see THESE two comedy films. First lets talk about one of the all-time classics. The drop-dead funny buddy films of the 90s, Dumb and Dumber, has really been unmatched IMHO. You couldn’t help but fall in love with two down and out friends on a quest to track down true love. Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels gave the most genuine performances that not only evoked guttoral laughter but honest likability. Can they top the magic of the first film? I don’t care. I’m seeing the sequel no matter what! Universal’s Dumber and Dumber To will find Lloyd and Harry on another road trip. Yay! The Farrelly Brothers will once again be directing. What could go wrong?
The trailer for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues is out and I’m giddy with excitement. Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner, and Steve Carrell have an unholy chemistry that sears your brains with funny goodness. The first movie successfully focused on the subject of women in the workplace. The sequel will find the newsmen trying to adjust to life in the 80s. If the trailer is any clue that adjustment will be as awkward as humanly possible. The sequel is scheduled to hit theatres December 20th.
