If you’re a fan of Patrick Nagel’s 80’s pop art then Moonbeam City will be right up your alley. If you need to Google that name, then the all-star cast voicing the characters of Comedy Central’s hot new animated series should be a clue you have much to look forward to. Moonbeam City features the voice talent of celebs Rob Lowe, Elizabeth Banks, Will Forte, and Kate Mara, plus guest spots by Powers Boothe, Kate McKinnon, Catherine O’Hara, Andy Richter, Susan Sarandon, Molly Shannon, Paul F. Tompkins, Patrick Warburton and Adam West. The series, created by Scott Gairdner (Conan, Funny Or Die), is a parody of of 1980’s cop shows like Miami Vice. Moonbeam follows detective Dazzle Novak (Lowe) and his colleagues as they try to protect the glowing metropolis from ruthless thugs. Just like FX’s Archer, Moonbeam City gets away with sex, murder, and general depravity, but has you laughing the whole way through. Check out all the neon fun September 16th!
