Quick Dish: The 5th Annual Wayne Federman International Film Festival 3.31-4.3 at Cinefamily

When comedian/actor/author/comedy writer/musician Wayne Federman isn’t lending his musical skills to help raise money for Never Not Funny’s Pardcast-a-Thon (which raised $181,000+ for Smile Train this year), he’s holding the annual Wayne Federman International Film Festival at Cinefamily. This year the event begins March 31stApril 3rd. The programming roster, per usual, is pretty kickass:

Thursday, March 31st, 7:30pm:
Urban Cowboy (presented by Tig Notaro!)
Thursday, March 31st, 10:30pm: Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (presented by Matt Besser!)
Friday, April 1st, 7:30pm: Blue Ruin (presented by Zach Galifianakis!)
Friday, April 1st, 10:30pm: Withnail & I (presented by Keegan-Michael Key!)
Saturday, April 2nd, 7:30pm: Arthur (presented by Rob Corddry!)
Saturday, April 2nd, 11:00pm: The Burbs (presented by John Mulaney!)
Sunday, April 3rd, 4:20pm: Doug Benson Movie Interruption: Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory
Sunday, April 3rd, 7:30pm: Walter Matthau double feature: The Bad News Bears and The Taking of Pelham One, Two, Three (presented by Patton Oswalt!)

Talk about a Sophie’s Choice of choosing just one program to attend. If you didn’t already guess this is a film festival of repertory films curated by stand-up comedians. Not only do the comedians select films that they felt personally inspiring and influential, but they also intro, perform, and participate in a post-screening Q&A. We hear there may also be surprise special guests throughout the fest. Plug in, kids!
