They had me at Giant Robot. Yes, I answer to the higher power of Asian pop culture, so sue me! Don’t really sue me, PLEASE! TONIGHT the “Streets of Sawtelle” will be inundated with the power of GIANT ROBOT COMEDY. Hosted by George Chen, a Zum zinester turned comedian, this is the “first comedy night ever in the 13 years of GR2.” For those not in the know (that doesn’t necessarily include moi), GR2 is a Giant Robot gallery store that features works from young contemporary artists. Giant Robot started out as “a small, punk-minded magazine that featured Asian pop culture and Asian American alternative culture” and later branched out into online & brick-and-mortar retail, art exhibition and even a touch of eatery magic. TONIGHT you get a taste of Giant Robot Comedy with comedians
