Video Licks: Usher in The Laughs with The Film Industry Focused Web Series PROJECTING

Projecting

Movie theater ushers really haven’t had their slice of the Comedy Cake, yet. There’s no better time than the present to spread the word about PROJECTING, a hilarious new web series starring Black Men Can’t Jump in Hollywood’s Jonathan Braylock, James III, and Jerah Milligan. This project made with Seriously.TV is a scripted short-form comedy that centers around three, you might have guessed, millennial ushers working at a movie theater. It was written by the stars along with James Carr and directed by Tessa Greenberg. Each episode, a film showing at the theater provides inspiration for the ticket-takers to get impassioned about. The series reminds me of Workaholics, only with the “race, identity and the media” issues Adam, Blake, and Anders never tackled. Check out the ENTIRE season below! You’ll be so happy you did. (WARNING: Some mature content.)

Episode 1: The Whipping: A Slave Story – James, Jonathan, and Jerah try to answer some thought-provoking questions when a new slave film screens at the theater.

Episode 2: The Beat of the Night – Batman answers the Bat-Signal when the guys seek out a notorious movie theater wanker.

Episode 3: 1+2 Angry Men – Can the guys escape the supply closet and ask the question: “Is Usher the greatest theatre usher of all-time?”

Episode 4: Rise of the Ticket Machines – It’s all out panic when the guys realize the machines are taking over their jobs.

Episode 5: The Hoppening – There’s a major crisis at hand when four major sequels screen at the same time. It’s a hopper’s paradise!
