What’s the first thing you think of when you hear single community? Sad? Lonely? Hopeless? NO! Cast aside those aspersions, comedians Avra Friedman and Dailya Karnofsky have created a show to address the needs of the single community at large. All My Single Friends combines stand-up comedy with a live dating app to fill the niche that the online dating scene has not addressed. During the show, audience members are asked “single or taken?” and are immediately tagged with a sticker that alerts their “fellow minglers” if they are “up for grabs” or “off the market.” Once that dating business is taken care of, the stand-up portion of the show begins with sets from LA’s top comedians. In between sets, Avra and Daliya interview both brave singles and comedians. At the end of the night, singles write down the sticker numbers of the people they were keen on and your matchmaker hosts reach out to their those potential beaus on their behalf. No more swiping! This is human to human interaction the way it was meant to be! Laugh yourself silly and possibly find that mate you’ve been dreaming of. This is one IRL experience you can’t beat!
