Quick Dish NY: WMTPS Cookout Comedy Show’s SISTER ACT SPECTACULAR 7.28 at The Tank

So what exactly is WMTPS? The acronym stands for Who Made The Potato Salad? and it is a Cookout Comedy Show made in a day written, directed, and starring artists of color whose credits include Netflix, HBO, Comedy Central, MTV, Upright Citizens Brigade, The Last OG, & more! Co-produced by X Mayo, Maria Luisa Acabado, and Steven Polletta, the show starts out with writers meeting at 8am, the actors then rehearse the show at 5pm, and the show goes up at 11pm no matter what! In addition, the show gives it’s loving audience drinks and cookout bites, plus a DJ to make sure everyone’s swaying to some musical beats. This July 28th at The Tank, the show is adding something special. As part of Issa’s birthday celebration, there will be sketches and musical interstitials inspired by the cult classics, Sister Ac 1 & 2, in honor of sisters X Mayo and Steven Polletta. Sounds heavenly, right? Don’t miss the homage, bday treats, live DJ, dancers, artists, and comedians Mike Kelton and Steven Polletta! I hear if you sports Sister Act attire you get an extra shot. GO!

The first show at The Tank in November.
