I know, you have The Offspring song stuck in your head now too. We all have a cross to bear sometimes. Kids, are you ready for a variety show that exclusively features women? I think you are! Come see the FLY GURLZ do their thing Monday, August 20th at The Magnet Theatre. The GURLZ show was created by Meredith Paul (Boogiemanja), Nanie Mendez (UCB) and Lida Darmian (UCB) in 2016 for Reckless, made the jump to Magnet, and will be making it’s television debut on public access’ MNN, aka Manhattan Neighborhood Network, in the Fall. Before then though, you can see their sketch variety show, written, acted, and directed by females at Magnet. The show is directed by Georgie Aldaco and written and acted by Meredith Paul, Lida Darmian, Nanie Mendez, Lani Harms, Amanda Hunt, Molly Kiernan, Katie Talay, Kathy Tao, Kristen Cignavitch, and Lorena Russi. The sketches “aim to highlight the uniqueness of women’s voices and comedic stylings.” As they should! Don’t miss out on the monthly event!
