Video Licks: A Tasty Sampling of The New Comedy Docuseries “What’s the 311?”

Not gonna lie, I’m a sucker for a new documentary. I drink it up! As luck would have, this morning a brand new one just landed on my plate, like a penny from heaven, from Jonathan Doyle. The What’s the 311? series takes a docu-examination of the many neighborhoods of Brooklyn, with (not always positive) testimonials from it’s quirky inhabitants. I’ve set aside two episodes for you to take a bite out of. In the first, we find out about the newest artistic enclave, Park Slope, where kiddy ventures are prolific, and someone else’s trash is another person’s treasure.

The second trip ventures into Williamsburg land. There’s an occupation going on there, but nobody’s sure who’s responsible. Enjoy!

This series was written and directed by Jonathan Doyle and stars Andrei Alupului, Bryce Craver, Alex Gellner, Adam Howard, Boris Khaykin, Molly Kiernan, Sam Weiss, and Beth White.
