Video Licks: LIFE SUCKS When “Manstration” Terror Plagues The Middle School

Kids, we’ve got quite the episode of LIFE SUCKS for you! The series won the best pilot award at the Independent Television Festival, but as life would have it, spent time in that dreaded limbo land after going into development. The series may not have lampooned the network whale, but you lucky folks have the Dinner for One creators to thank for releasing the series to their fans and backers, despite all the setbacks! EPISODE FOUR hits hard bringing the audience the less pretty side of growing up, coupled with the debilitating fear that went along with one of the most terrible events of the 00s. You know the one!

When Ally gets her first “time of the month” (we really dig The Godfather nod), she’s gifted the day off from school to cope with her altered state. However, when Jake learns of her “no school” situation, he’s determined to duplicate this Manstration condition to reap the benefits. Meanwhile, since school has been cancelled for the day, and Max’s parents are lacking in the parental responsibility category, he ends up trapped alone with the dreaded class oddball, Jonah Feldman, and a time-traveling student. Conspiracy theories are spawned. Breeze through your lunch period with our band of middle school misfits in this dark, yet cheerfully life-altering episode! Yes, you can have both!

The episode stars Allyson Condrath as Ally, Jake Mann as Jake, and Max Fox as Max.
