Video Licks: Enjoy The Unemployed Show’s New Parody Music Video POOR ft Anna Roisman

The Unemployed Show

Everyone needs an anthem to call their own, right? POOR, Anna Roisman’s (host of HQ words, QuickieFest creator) new ‘Unemployed Show’ parody song, unites the tired, the poor, the unemployed, freelancing huddled masses just scraping by, but continuing to dream. The parody of the 90s throwback jam Torn (by Australian-British singer Natalie Imbruglia) tells one woman’s riches to rags, unemployment tale. She may have had a corporate job once, but after being laid off on election night, is now “eating ramen on the floor.” She may have to sell everything to make ends meet, but at least she has her hard wood floors (and some dignity) to hold on to. Enjoy “Poor” now!

Anna Roisman created ‘The Unemployed Show‘ in 2017, which has aired over 50 episodes on Facebook Live. This music video is written and performed by Anna, directed by Andy Zou, produced & edited by Jared Hacker, with music production by Mike Kuplic. The video features Julian Williams, Zak Sommerfield, Milly Tamarez, Mike Muntner, Jenny Gorelick, Katie Rotondi, Jared Hacker, Andy Zou, and Bobby Flay The Dog. Special thanks to Night After Night, for no particular reason.
