Poli Sci majors and the rest of you who just want to be in the know, come out to Caveat on the Lower East Side TOMORROW, August 8th, for some POLITICAL CIRCUS thrills and laughs. This one-person show gets into the measured scientific research behind topics like voting, polarization, political beliefs, and more. To tackle tomorrow topic Are There Other Countries, and If So, What Do They Do? the fourth show in the series (presented by standup comedian/PoliSci Ph.D./NYU professor/circus performer Andrea Jones-Rooy) will ‘cover the decades, sometimes centuries, of political research that can help us clueless folk understand what our political structures are doing, and how (and whether) we should change them.’ Questions that might come up in a show like this include:

What does “majority rule” even mean and what are the consequences of it?

Are we actually getting more polarized?

& why, despite the historical records in the midterm election, do so many candidates and leaders still look the same?

And you will get all the answers in one night! Just kidding. If that were possible we all be holding hands and gifting each other bonbons. Did I mention your lecturer will not only be feeding your brain, but interrupting her entertaining lecture with one lively circus performance? Blink. Now that’s talent!
