Quick Dish NY: AN EVENING OF HUMOROUS READINGS Celebrates “Build Your Own Christmas Movie Romance” 10.22 at Caveat

Is there something less noble about listening to a book be read than using your own eyes to absorb the text? Well, if there is, consider me common! Tuesday, October 22nd at An Evening of Humorous Readings, come enjoy literary humorists reading their very own literary humor, (so you don’t have to). This extra-special edition of the monthly show will be celebrating the release of Riane Konc’s (The New Yorker, McSweeney’s, Reductress) new book, Build Your Own Christmas Movie Romance. One could describe the book as a choose-your-own-adventure (similar to Black Mirror: Bandersnatch) but for a holiday movie and without the inevitable darkness and tinsel-tinged sadness (you hope). At this show there will also be some sweet giveaways, and copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing by Riane (in the flesh)! It’s never too early to shop for the holidays, kids. NEVER! Other Humorous Readings guests will include:

Ziwe Fumudoh (Desus & Mero, Our Cartoon President, The Onion, Reductress)

Josh Gondelman (Desus & Mero, Last Week Tonight, The New Yorker)

Kate Sidley (The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, The New Yorker, McSweeney’s)

with HOSTS:

Brian Agler (The New Yorker, McSweeney’s, Splitsider)

Luke Burns (The New Yorker, McSweeney’s, New York Magazine)

James Folta (The New Yorker, McSweeney’s, Points In Case)
