Just a few dozen hours left to back a most deserving project, kids! Filmmaker Trevor Williams of Pig Apple productions, is developing a short film project called “The Surrealists” about the incomparable Salvador Dalí and The Surrealist movement. The cultural movement began in 1917, and has renewed relevance in today’s world. Williams’ film strives to tell the story of the surrealist movement in a more modern setting, with famous artists reacting to the chaos around them via their millennial creator roles on social media. Rising stars from the NY club/UCB community will play the artist/influencer roles including, Dave Ahdoot as the great Dalí, Casey Jost as surrealist founder André Breton, Lauren Ireland as young entrepreneur Peggy Guggenheim, Dave Ebert is the “woke” Max Ernst, Jonathan Fernandez as the witty René Magritte, Dave Bluvband as the cross-dressing Marcel Duchamp, and more! You can help prove the networks and studios wrong by supporting this cinematic venture. Take a look at what the team has produced thus far and get them to their Kickstarter goal today! Let the “revolution of the mind” spring anew!
