Quick Dish NY: ‘HAIL MARY Our Queer Saints’ Show 1.29 at Caveat

comedy

Whitney Houston, Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, The Notorious B.I.G., T. Rex, all make sense now getting into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Class Of 2020, but how were The Doobie Brothers not in it AGES ago? I mean they formed in 1970! All I can say is someone dropped the ball on that one, folks. (OK, you are now permitted to bicker among yourselves about who DIDN’T make the list). Well, there will be MORE recognizing of talent Wednesday, January 29th at Caveat. “The Kennedy Center Honors of divas and deviants” will anoint some super special persons at Hail Mary: Our Queer Saints. Come see comedians, writers, and performers nominate their most favorite queer icons for their place on the entertainment pedestal. The lineup that will help build a “new canon of glorified souls” includes:

Spike Einbinder (HBO’s Los Espookys)

Fareeha Khan (Women In Comedy Festival)

Jess Salomon (The Tonight Show)

Zach Zimmerman (Time Out Comic To Watch)

Hosted by Tim Kov (BAPHTA) and David Perez (UCB Lloyd Night)

Be there ready to worship!
