The pandemic has greatly impacted performers’ abilities to put on live shows. This include Model Majority’s 2nd annual AAPI Heritage Month Comedy show. Even though they cannot bring their show to you in person, that doesn’t mean the show can’t still go on. TOMORROW, May 16th on @thepitnyc Facebook Live, Model Majority will present their historic first virtual show! The sketch comedy show will raise money to #SaveChinatown small business with Dumplings Against Hate. Expect a night of original AAPI themed comedy sketches, songs and characters (“Keanu” and “Yoko Ono” are expected to appear) plus a DJ Dance After Party co-hosted by Crushing The Myth with DJ Bën Kím. Your Model Majority players will include Veronica Dang, Kevin Chew, Carol Lee, Betsy Abraham, Rob Chen, Lisa Cheong, Alex Chester-Blank, Christine Fang, Non Kuramoto, Dewey D Nguyen, Julie Tran, Monica R Villa, and Viet Vo with Special Guest performances by Dylan Adler and Woody Fu. Model Majority’s sold-out shows have been on Time Out New York’s list of “Best Comedy Shows in NYC”, New York Times “5 Comedy Shows to Catch in NYC This Weekend” and they were a notably featured act at NYC Sketchfest.
