It’s really kismet that I’ve been watching a lot of horror movies lately because our spooky announcement falls in line with this particular genre. Starting Wednesday May 27th, HOFF’S HORRORFESTreturns online! Yes, I know you’ve been jonesing for those chills and thrills. This time your host HOFF MATTHEWS (Comedy Central) will be on Twitch live streaming classic public domain horror movies interspersed with comedy segments. The first event will feature the 1959 classic, “House on Haunted Hill.” The William Castle supernatural horror film stars Prince of Darkness Vincent Price. Heavy on the camp, HoHH features Price as eccentric millionaire, Frederick Loren, who invites five people to his (and his wife’s) home for a “haunted house” party. The guest who is able to stay in the house for one night earns $10,000. Easy, right? The fun comes in as the guests are trapped inside with a smorgasbord of carnival-esque terrors. Who’s hearing Bill Hader as Vince Price in their head? Only me? OK. This night of terror, jokes and skits should be the perfect quarantine accompaniment. Lock all your doors, kids! This one should be frighteningly good.
