Comedians Autumn Bruewer and Avra Friedman will co-headline Stand-Up NY THIS Sunday, September 28th.
Originally from Cincinnati, Autumn Bruewer is a comedian and actress now based in Los Angeles. She started her career performing improv on house teams at Second City and IO West. She has guest starred on the Netflix series Dear White People, and currently appears on the Laugh Factory Spotlight series. Autumn’s stand-up clips have racked up millions of views on social media. She’s a rapidly rising force in the comedy world, touring nationally as a headliner and having opened for legends like Jay Leno, Jimmy Pardo and Laurie Kilmartin. Autumn has performed improv on house teams at Second City and IO West and has performed with Don’t Tell Comedy.

Avra (like avocado) Friedman is an actress, stand-up comedian, and writer. As a writer/creator, her videos have been featured on WhoHaha and Funny or Die and her writing has garnered awards and nominations from LA Web Fest, Brooklyn Web Fest, and Women in Media. Avra’s sketch writing has been featured on live shows all over Los Angeles, including UCB, the Ruby Theater, and the late Nerdist. Avra won Gotham Comedy Club’s New Talent Competition and was one of Hollywood Laugh Factory’s 2020 Fresh Faces.

As a standup comic, she was the winner of Gotham Comedy Club’s New Talent Competition, was one of Hollywood Laugh Factory’s 2020 Fresh Faces, and has opened for Tim Allen, Gilbert Gottfried, and Jay Mohr. Avra is also the co-host and co-creator of the hit show, All My Single Friends, half comedy show/half live dating app, which has played to sold-out audiences in LA and was recently in development for television under Jon Cryer’s Discount Sushi production company. Avra currently recurs as a correspondent on Fail Center and as the co-host of The Daily Dose. She has also performed with Don’t Tell Comedy.
