Tasty News: Now Out Comedian MYQ KAPLAN’S Deeply Romantic & Funny Video Special “RINI”

MYZ KAPLAN’S latest project RINI, is now out in full length video form on the Blonde Medicine YouTube Channel, for your viewing pleasure. Twenty years into his comedy career, and nearly a decade into his relationship with partner Rini Voskressensky, the two collaborated to craft a deeply personal project that is equal parts a comedy special and a thesis on love. In this clever, inviting project named after … you guessed it, Kaplan offers advice to his past dumb self while discussing his evolving thoughts on traditional marriage, Mario, quantum physics, mind-altering psychedelics, higher powers, and bone monsters, to name a few topics.

Kaplan has appeared on the Tonight Show, Conan, Letterman, James Corden, Seth Meyers, Comedy Central, Last Comic Standing, and America’s Got Talent. He has a half-hour special on Comedy Central, a one-hour standup special on Amazon called Small, Dork, and Handsome, and a Dry Bar special called Live From The Universe. Myq also hosts two podcasts, The Faucet and Broccoli and Ice Cream, and co-created a book of his jokes, illustrated by artist Ramin Nazer, called Heart Brain Art Train. His last album, A.K.A. debuted at #1 on the iTunes chart. His latest hour of stand-up, Rini, was recorded with Blonde Medicine after a critically acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Regarding Kaplan’s thoughts on the special, “I’m a better person because of her. I’m a better comedian because of her. We created this show about our relationship together, an artistic collaboration about our romantic collaboration,” says Myq. “The show is a celebration of love. So, I hope everyone loves it. And laughs at it, because it’s funny.”

This comedy special is now available on the Blonde Medicine YouTube channel. The audio will be available everywhere comedy albums are streamed or downloaded starting December 12. Do yourself a solid and watch with your loved ones this holiday season.

Only one question remains, when is the couple taking that one audience member’s thoughts to heart, and ending a show with a dramatic proposal? We already know the answer, but please discuss among yourselves.
