Quick Dish Quarantine: ‘THE MADS: A Night of Shorts’ Takes on Vintage Short Films & Cartoons 10.20 Online

Trace Beaulieu and Frank Conniff (Dr. Clayton Forrester and TV’s Frank from Mystery Science Theater 3000) are back at the riffin’ Tuesday, October 20 on YouTube. The legendary comedy duo will have a comedic crack at a series of vintage short films and cartoon using their classic, off-the-cuff witticisms. Vintage educational shorts were always a stable of Mystery Science Theater 3000’s original run. Joel, Mike, and their robot friends would often humorously deride films like “Appreciating Our Parents,” “What To Do on a Date,” and “A Case of Spring Fever.” With The Mads: A Night of Shorts livestream, fans can expect Frank and Trace to have a hand at ridiculing shorts like “More Dates For Kay,” “How Friendly Are You?” and, just in time for Halloween, “Halloween Safety Vol. 2.” The show will be broadcast via private YouTube link which will be sent to ticket holders an hour prior to showtime. Ticket holders will be able to access the show to both re-watch and download for personal viewing. Downloads of the show will not be offered for purchase after the broadcast ends. So be sure to grab those ticket prior to showtime October 20th. Don’t miss out on this night of laughter!
