We love when fans make a passion project happen. The Broken Lizard gang was on board to make Super Troopers 2, but there was one problem. They didn’t have the funding to do it. They DID have the studio’s permission to make a sequel. Heck, the studio even agreed to distribute the film in the USA and Canada. The only thing that was lacking was that damn green. So where do creators go when money is an obstacle? To the crowdfunding! Yep, the Indiegogo campaign goals was a cool 2 million. They had a about a month to raise that and did it in a mere 2 days. 2 DAYS! But it gets better. There is still time to raise even more money so that the guys can go beyond a bare bones film and create the sequel the fans really deserve. According to the filmmaking team, raising more than 2 mil guarantees all the really cool stuff gets added. The fans will get all the action, cameos, and extra special stuff they desire. There are plenty of incentives left like Super Troopers badges & aviators, tickets to the red carpet premiere in LA, plus a chance to have the those loveable guys at your wedding. How can you resist?
