Tasty News: Comedy Central’s New Motor City Series DETROITERS Premieres 2.7.17

Comedy Central

There’s no doubt the Motor City has a lot of heart. In Comedy Central’s new series DETROITERS that fact couldn’t be more true. Second City alums and real life BFFs Sam Richardson (Veep, Office Christmas Party, The House) and Tim Robinson (SNL, Documentary Now, Comedy Bang Bang) play small-time ad men, Sam & Tim, who have an unbreakable devotion to one another and their city. Jason Sudeikis, executive producer on the project, plays a profitable Chrysler brand exec who the fearless duo try to land as a big-time client. What could possibly go wrong there? The series cast is filled with familiar faces, like Obba Babatunde, Michael Che, Comedian CP, Steve Higgins, Richard Karn, Keegan-Michael Key, Kevin Nash, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Cecily Strong, Trick Trick, George Wallace, and Malcolm-Jamal Warner. The ten-episode series is executive produced, created, and written by Richardson, Robinson, Joe Kelly and Zach Kanin. Lorne Michaels, Broadway Video, and, as we mentioned before, Sudeikis, are executive producing. The series premieres on Comedy Central February 7th, 2017 and fans can get a look at the show on the Detroiters website. They can also visit Facebook, Twitter and Instagram throughout the season for behind the scenes content, show clips, and other shareable moments. We can’t wait!
