Quick Dish NY: History + Comedy at A NIGHT OF TOO MANY IDES 3.23 at Caveat

Et tu, Brute? Totally, dude. March 15th 44BC is of course intimately associated with the assassination of the Roman politician Julius Caesar, who was betrayed by his bff Brutus. On March 23rd 2018, you could say there will be more debt settling in the form of history and comedy at A NIGHT OF TOO MANY IDES. Comedians from UCB, Reductress, Story Pirates, MTV, and more will gather to explore the history of the Ides as an omen and what it has meant for famous assassinations everywhere throughout history. Gulp! Don’t worry very little backstabbing is planned (I hope). Hosts Mallory Muratore and Patrick Vermillion get out their fact checking hats to access the historical accuracy of that is laid out before them. The guests for the evening will include

Mariah Smith, Lauren Ashley Smith, Rachel Smith (The Run Down with Robin Thede)
The Postmen ft. Carmen Christopher, Matt Barats, and Anthony Oberbeck (The Annoyance, The Onion, High Maintenance)
Keisha Zollar (The Opposition with Jordan Klepper)
Varejão ft. Sam Naismith, Max Knoblauch, and Ben Stanton (UCB)
False Idol ft. David Bluvband and Stephanie Pace (Marvelous Ms. Maisel, The Chris Gethard Show)
Jessy Morner-Ritt (Just a Show)
SUP Comedy ft. Fareeha Khan, Jesse Roth, Stephanie Pace, Juliet Prather and Maddie Fischer (MTV, Comedy Central Showcase)
Clyde ft. Natalie Rotter-Laitman and Eva Victor (Reductress)
Pillars of the Community ft. Andrés Govea, Samantha Friend, Jonathan Sessa, and Harry T Gensemer (Vital Joint)

This murder stuff just never gets old! Cough, I mean assassination is never funny, except in this special case. Though shall not kill, kids!
