Quick Dish NY: X PLUS ONE Improvised ’40s Sci-Fi Radio Show TONIGHT at Caveat

Most of us probably weren’t around for the times when you could hear Orson Welles on the radio scaring the whole country senseless with an adaptation of H.G. Wells’ The War of the Worlds. OK, fine, there’s still plenty of fake news to go around, but news bulletins describing a terrifying Martian invasion of New Jersey ain’t one of them (yet). TONIGHT at Caveat, you will be anything but terrified as X PLUS ONE brings you an evening of sci-fi journeys and old timey radio play. After a beguiling interview with a special guest, X Plus One takes you back to the Golden Age of radio, “when heroes fought bravely against atomic saucers, ray guns, and metal men with their American can-do spirit!” Tonight’s participants will include

David Armstrong
Kevin Laibson
Geoff Grimwood
Matt Giroveanu
Jeff Scherer
Rachel Scherer

Be there and, remember, don’t shout “dilly, dilly” in the theatre. Wink.
