The gifts just keep on giving this 4/20 day. We have another track for you, this time from comedian JEFF SIMMERMON. His new album “Why You Should Be Happy” drops May 5th and we need to celebrate early. I mean, not like we don’t have time for it! The album, his second, is a collection of stories and jokes that cover coping with personal trauma (see THE PRESENT) and covers other engaging topics like his love for southern food, body dysmorphia, mixed martial arts, divorce, authenticity, and so much more. Jeff has twice had to face daunting events prior to this whole global crisis. In 2009, he learned he had testicular cancer, requiring emergency surgery within 24 hours. Then in 2014, two weeks after his first marriage anniversary, he learned that his marriage was over and found himself living alone within six days. Yeah, I think Jeff knows a thing or two about life-altering situations. In this super funny track from the new album, Jeff discusses his perfect salad. Not only is it “to die for,” but we learn that in the process of trying to make it even better, Jeff feels “broccoli crack salad” is not really the optimal description for a sustaining meal. We agree. Enjoy “Broccoli Salad Is Destroying The Inner City” now!

Mentions: “Why You Should Be Happy” drops May 5th on 800 Pound Gorilla Records. Follow Simmermon on Twitter and Instagram.
