Quick Dish NY: ASIAN AMERICAN FILM THING 11.16 at Caveat

Be part of an evening exploring identity and the power of visual storytelling with an ASIAN AMERICAN FILM THING. The event, happening Tuesday, November 16th at Caveat, will be hosted by comedian/storyteller/actor/filmmaker Angel Yau (AzN PoP!) and comedian/actor Mehdi Barakchian (Manifest, For Life) who will help celebrate Asian-American filmmakers with a screening of their film shorts. So what’s funny about this? Over half of the entries will be comedy-based AND there will also be plenty of narrative fiction, documentaries, animation, music videos, sketches and experimental film to balance it all out. In addition to the screenings, you will hear from the filmmakers themselves! And if that wasn’t thrilling enough, the screening will conclude with music from Corner Club & Ashni. Don’t miss out!
