Kathryn has a hefty LA menu planned with plenty more in oven. At Kate Owens’ critically acclaimed, country-fried comedy show Kathryn invites us into the basement of her church for an irreverent, absurd, and spicy cooking show. Things get messy when some unexpected guests arrive, forcing Kathryn to reckon with more than just her egg bake casserole.
Kate (definitely not to be confused with Kathryn) is a NYC-based actor, comedian, and award-winning clown known for her fearless commitment to characters and audacious physical comedy. She made both her Broadway and TV debuts in September: Melissa Etheridge: My Window at Circle in the Square Theatre and The Other Black Girl on Hulu. Kate was a New Face of Comedy at the Just For Laughs Festival (2021). She earned a spot on the highly coveted Cirque du Soleil roster and has studied with the French master clown, Philippe Gaulier, AKA “The Tormentor.” Impressive!
