Quick Dish NY: MAGGIE CRANE in SIDE BY SIDE 1.8 at Littlefield

LITTLEFIELD will present the special taping of Maggie Crane in Side by Side on January 8th at 7pm and 9:30pm. Crane (JFL New Faces of stand-up 2025) returns with her cult hit that asks the question, “can you ever be as cool as your older brother?” Not when he has a purple sparkly wheelchair and everyone’s attention. Set during the early 2000s in the woods of Western Massachusetts, Maggie Crane’s darkly funny solo show is an autobiographical account of growing up amidst disability, Dunkin’ Donuts, and the greatest band of all time, Panic at the Disco. Side by Side made the list of best-reviewed shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2023, was selected to be part of the 2024 Netflix is a joke festival, and was developed for television by Lionsgate and King Bee (Emily Mortimer and Alessandro Nivola’s production company). It is now being made into a special (this very taping!!) for Kable.tv.

The show is directed by Annalisa Plumb. and is being produced by Rewind Productions and Blank Industries for distribution on Kable, a new streaming service launching in 2026. Grab your tickets for the critically acclaimed solo show featured in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Netflix is a Joke Festival and currently being developed for TV with Lionsgate!
