Quick Dish NY: ART SCHOOL Is in Session 5.12 at Friends & Lovers

Today the only thing that separated me from the animal world was a pane of glass. There are no barriers of separation to fret about at ART SCHOOL, however. No barricades. No frenemies. No judgement. Just pure art school style experimentation! Come one, come all on this “highly-curated, comedy journey with stand-up, video, magic, dance, music, and even an immersive art installation.” Saturday, May 12th the show will feature very special guests

Shalewa Sharpe (The Tonight Show, Thug Passion)
Max Wittert (The New Yorker, Marvel Comics)
Three Busy Debras: Alyssa Stonoha, Sandy Honig, Mitra Jouhari (Carnegie Hall)

hosted by Tim Barnes (HBO), Jordan Mendoza (Comedy Central) and Joanna Solotaroff (Why Oh Why, KCRW’s UnFictional)

Perhaps you’ll soon develop the bond with this show that I now have with a bushy-tailed rodent. Keep living, kids!

Mentions: Show 8pm. FREE! Friends & Lovers is located at 641 Classon Ave, Brooklyn, New York 11238. Art School is committed to bringing together the comedic leanings of multiple mediums and art communities. The series promises to incorporate film, performance art, dance, music, and furry friend tolerance. OK, maybe not the last one I added in.
