QUICKIE FEST: The One Minute Movie Festival is approaching faster than a cheetah on a bullet train. This weekend, Sunday, October 28 to be exact, Michael Muntner and Anna Roisman bring you the 6th installment of the fest that brings you the best short-form videos in New York. The fest is sponsored by Sixpoint beer and will feature 60-ish one-minute movies from a bevy of artists. Most ‘Quickie’s’ are comedic, but the range can be anything from music videos, and cartoons to silent films, dramas, and documentaries. The upcoming fest will feature a special jury of these professionals in the industry:
Jesse North, Senior Video Producer at NBC News whose work has been seen in Us Weekly, 92nd Street Y, Broadway.com, People, and Entertainment Weekly
Caitlin Smith, producer at Above Average and who’s created projects for Funny or Die, TruTV, and various reality shows
Sandy Kenyon, Entertainment Reporter and movie critic for Channel 7 Eyewitness News who’s interviewed legendary stars like Eddie Murphy, Robert De Niro, Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington, Julia Roberts, Cameron Diaz, Clint Eastwood & more!
The show is split into two halves, with an intermission. At the end of the second half the special jury and the audience vote, with awards presented at the conclusion of the evening.
