Following a sold-out debut, Savage Wonder is doubling down on laughs, legacy, and live performance. From June 27–29, the arts center will, once again, open its cellar doors for Comedy Weekend, a three-night series of stand-up sets featuring some of NYC’s sharpest comedic voices. All performers—like every creative artist at Savage Wonder—are military veterans or immediate family members. But the mission here isn’t to salute; it’s to stage compelling, unexpected, and category-defying art.
The weekend’s lineup highlights a new crop of comedians making serious noise in the NYC
circuit, including
Matt McCoy – featured on Amazon Prime’s “Laugh After Dark”, the New York Underground Comedy Festival, and hosts of crowd-favorite “Veterans of Comedy” show
Johnny O’Neill – has headlined Stand Up NY, appeared in NYC’s Tight Five Showcase, and brings an unpredictability that keeps audiences on edge—and in stitches.
KP Burke – A regular on Compound Media, host of the “American Loser” podcast, and a contributor to SiriusXM, Burke mixes cultural commentary with the kinetic energy of someone who’s seen it all and still isn’t impressed
Host Linette Palladino – a combat veteran and powerhouse performer whose stand-up credits include the NY Comedy Festival, HBO, and Gotham Comedy Club, as well as a feature on PBS’s Stories from the Stage.
