The anticipation is finally over! TONIGHT we will be treated with two comedy delights on two great networks. A new season of Portlandia pounces on IFC. If the previews are any indication, season six of the Emmy-winning comedy series is going to be out of this world. I’m all in just based on Orange Is The New Black’s Natasha Lyonne and Carrie Brownstein as ladycationers getting mixed up in a drone precipitated top bun catastrophe. Some of the other guests we can expect this season include Louis C.K., Jillian Bell, Glenn Danzig, Mitchell Hurwitz, Moshe Kasher, John Levenstein, Robert Smigel, Kumail Nanjiani and so many more. TONIGHT on FX, we will witness the debut of the clown comedy from Louis C.K., Zach Galifianakis and Jonathan Krisel. Galifianakis stars in the lead role as Chip Baskets, an aspiring clown who, to everyone’s annoyance, sees himself as an artiste. We find the pompous clown returning from French clown school to his hometown of Bakersfield penniless, with an unloving wife and big career aspirations. His family, who doesn’t understand the art of clowning, is played by Louie Anderson (Chip’s mother), Sabina Sciubba (Chip’s wife), and Galifianakis (Chip’s twin brother).
