Quick Dish NY: THE BOX SHOW Returns To The PIT NYC Starting October 2nd

Don’t box me in, unless of course you are Dominique Salerno (The Moustache Apologies, Feminarchy) who’s solo-show THE BOX SHOW will be returning to The Peoples Improv theatre this October. The award-winning actor and writer premiered the show at FringeNYC in 2016 to packed houses and it was awarded an Overall Excellence Award in Solo Performance. It also had a successful run at the Fringe Encore Series. Lucky for you, the critically acclaimed play returns to The Peoples Improv Theatre for SEVEN performances starting on October 2, 2017. Directed by Sash Bischoff with scenic design by Ann Beyersdorfer, The Box Show features one woman playing over 25 different characters from inside a kitchen cupboard. Man, I can’t even fit my food processor in there. Every time the doors open, the audience is treated to a new reality where new characters come to life. It’s like Duplass brothers’ Room 104, but with one lady, more laughter, and LIVE in your face. Do you prefer the Greek Army inside the Trojan Horse, a lonely Giantess or a lost Pope? You could encounter all three at The Box Show. Come laugh and be fascinated by this inventive and surprisingly uncontained event!
