Quick Dish NY: Solo Show RANDY WRITES A NOVEL at Theatre Row! Limited Engagement!

RANDY is ready to conquer the US. He’s making a name for himself stateside with his solo-show RANDY WRITES A NOVEL, currently running at Theatre Row’s Clurman Theatre in New York, closing June 9th. A mix of stand-up, improv, and theatre, the show features the “felt-faced,” sometimes sober Randy sharing a staged reading of his very first novel. He shares memorable and exceedingly adult musings that promise to leave you questioning the meaning of life. HOWEVER, according to the star,

“This show is not some f****** life-changing, huge philosophical insight into the world and everything in it. It’s just a few ideas. I’m not solving any of the world’s problems.”

Randy has already headlined with Neil Patrick Harris at Montreal’s Just For Laughs, has appeared at Fringe and Comedy festivals all over the world, won Outstanding Show at the Melbourne Comedy Festival, starred on his own Netflix show in the UK, performed at The Sydney Opera House, been nominated for two ARIAs (Australian Grammys) and been nominated for the Australian equivalent of an Emmy. Not shabby for a fella that might be confused with a curious, purple turtle. (I’m gonna pay for that) If you loved Avenue Q and are totally looking forward to the R-rated The Happytime Murders, we can bet this show will be right up your alley, avenue, or lane.
