TIK TOK BOOM is pleased to announce their next bimonthly marquee show SATURDAY OCTOBER 31 at COMEDY BAR DANFORTH MAIN STAGE: TIK TOK BOO. Time is on no one’s side in this high-octane and Halloween-themed one-act sketch comedy revue. Cause when life flies by, it’s horrifying.
This totally terrifying show marks the troupe’s first with new director Conor Bradbury (Sex T-Rex, Second City Mainstage, Bad Dog). Past directors include Carly Heffernan, who created the format, and Jamie Lamb, who remains as music director. Each TIK TOK BOOM show is made-up of entirely “blackouts.” That means, every sketch is two minutes or less. Perfect for shortening attention spans. Like yours! But the clock doesn’t stop ticking–the grand finale is a no-holds-barred speed set where the cast races to improvise as many blackouts as possible in ten minutes.
Smart, silly, and unapologetically fast–TIK TOK BOOM is what happens when comedy meets chaos, and there’s no time to explain. Get ready for a rapid-fire roller coaster of laughs. And scares! But mostly laughs.
The creepy cast features comedians Madeleine Brown, Kent Penaranda, Aaron Rubinoff, Miho Suzuki and Kitty Zhang. In its first year, the troupe has had debut performances at Toronto Sketchfest (including performing as part of Best of the Fest), Sketch to the Death, Sketch @ Rivoli, Montreal Sketchfest and more to be announced.
