I always did love saying the word “noir.” It makes me feel fancy when I utter those vowels. I get to say it even more today because TOMORROW at Caveat KIP JONES… IN SPACE comes to town. The show is classic radio N-O-I-R with a modern twist and that’s about as comedy fancy as you get! Detective Kip Jones will solve crimes aboard a space station with a crazed scientist named Bev and her sarcastic robot H4RV. This motley crew will encounter “interplanetary smugglers, the space mob, homicidal robots,” and whatever the universe has to throw at them. This genre is about ready to be flipped on it’s head with monologues, booze, robots, lasers, aliens, and, of course, fierce “dames!” This show was created by Megan Rico (Impractical Jokers, Above Average, NBC) and Phoebe Stonebraker (Impractical Jokers, NBC Diversity Scholar, UCB) and features a cast of stars from the New York comedy scene.
