It’s always refreshing to see artists pushing the envelope in their industry. Lady Brain Films recently released their “Insta Film” HOLLYWOOD DRAMEDY to the world, created entirely through Instagram Stories. The short film was written by and stars Katina Nikou, directed by Casey Gates and starring Gates, Pilar Holland, Deborah Smith, and Jen Kodros. You may remember gates from the series Judy The Clown. The team of female creators used the power of social media to create “a narrative five minute video that was pre-scripted and shot entirely on an iPhone through the Instagram Story feature.” In the story you find yourself in the middle of a birthday party celebration that goes south pretty quickly and is punctuated by boomerangs, stickers, and tags.
