The TBS TNT Upfront 2014 presentation revealed the comedies we’ll be seeing in 2014-2015. Check out the sneak previews of three comedies worth taking a look at. Rashida Jones branches out into a comedy leading role in Steve and Nancy Carells’ Angie Tribeca. This cop show should be plenty of competition for FOX’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Tribeca also stars Jere Burns (Justified, Dear John), Deon Cole (CONAN, Funny Business) and Andree Vermeulen (Laid Off, NTSF:SD:SUV).
From the Emmy-winning creators of Will & Grace (David Kohan and Max Mutchnick), TBS will be introducing the ensemble comedy Buzzy’s. Set in Charlestown, Mass., Buzzy’s follows a group of barbershop co-workers who all went to high school together but ran in different crowds. The show stars Ashley Tisdale (High School Musical), Mike Castle (Family Trap), Lauren Lapkus (Orange Is the New Black), Ryan Pinkston (Tower Prep), Matt Cook (True Blood) and six-time Emmy nominee George Wendt (Cheers).
And last but not least, TBS greenlighted the domestic comedy Your Family or Mine. This series is based on a popular Isreali comedy from Keshet International. Each episode the comedy will focus on a different side of a young couple’s family. Your Family or Mine stars Kyle Howard (Royal Pains, My Boys), Kat Foster (‘Til Death, Royal Pains), Richard Dreyfuss (The Goodbye Girl, The American President) and JoBeth Williams (Poltergeist, Dexter).
