Quick Dish NY: TWO Upcoming Performances of ‘DAVID MILLS: Glamour + Despair’ at Pangea

Laughing in the face of the Apocalypse, acclaimed American ex-pat in London and cabaret comic, DAVID MILLS, returns to Pangea with the premiere of “Glamour + Despair,” accompanied by Jody Shelton on piano. This will be the 5th time the entertainer graces Pangea’s prime venue, the jewel-box Cabaret Room. Mills will take lucky audiences on a scathing romp through the boneyard of contemporary culture, eviscerating hot topics with slicing humor. Inspired by the sardonic wit of Paul Lynde, the musical audacity of Sandra Bernhard, and the casual elegance of Irish comedian Dave Allen, Mills lovingly turns his acidic humor on today’s haunting headlines, while skewering the unrelenting horrors of contemporary life. You know, the ususal! Don’t miss both events happening Saturday, April 22 & Saturday, April 29. Reinterpretations of forgotten 50s classic, undiscovered 70s soul bangers, 90s indie standards, and more await!
