The Lyric Hyperion Theater has announced the launch of an indie production arm called SPESH! Located in the heart of LA’s Silverlake neighborhood, the theater has a long history of showcasing fringe variety comedy. Spesh! will focus on producing trailblazing specials direct to YouTube, alongside short vertical content across socials.
Launching this Fall, comedian, actress, filmmaker, and professional balloon artist Emily Browning (Winner 2024 Best Actress: Toronto Int. Women Film Festival, Best Dark Comedy: LA Film Awards) and Joey Greer (Abbott Elementary, Dream Corp LLC), will release their inaugural one hour specials Temporary, Beautiful and Teeny Tiny. Temporary, Beautiful is an elevated deconstruction of crowd work featuring songs, s*x parties and balloons. Teeny Tiny is an unhinged fever dream perfect for fans of Tim & Eric and Adult Swim originals.
Temporary, Beautiful premieres TOMORROW, September 4th.
Teeny Tiny is set for September 12th.
