Sometimes you find a nugget of brilliance where there’s a bunch of obscured schlongs. Comedians Kyle Martin and Jheisson Nuñez collaborated on this short film aptly named Jimmy Todger’s Blurry Redemption which recently screened at the 202 Comedy Festival. The short takes a NSFW, behind-the-scenes look at the company Blurred Dicks INC. which employs some true artists who make risqué images viewable again. In the story, one artist’s talents are so great it prompts some insidious jealousy. Will this young man’s gift blossom or be hijacked? Get ready for the Dick-ens tale now! (WARNING: If you are put off by Naked and Afraid type images look away now! If you’re not, get ready to chuckle [though your boss may not].)
The cast includes Jheisson Nunez as Jimmy Todger, Kyle Martin as Rod, Haywood Turnipseed Jr. as Mr. Phallum, Jessy Morner-Ritt as the Gallery Owner and Benjy Himmelfarb as Miscellaneous Bro. The creators pointed out that just around the time the short bared all, a NYT article dropped about the staff of Naked and Afraid, who blur out the nudity on the show. This is fate, kids!
