RUDE COMEDY will be celebrating it’s first year of weekly alt and experimental shows with a grand comedy party and updated schedule. RUDE was founded by Brooklyn-based comedian Ian Lockwood and is produced by Lockwood and D. Arthur. It features NYC’s best up-and-coming comedians with “a rowdy, messy, fresh night of comedy from tomorrow’s stars.” Tuesday, April 10th at Williamsburg’s South 4th Bar the FREE anniversary party wil be hosted by Brooklyn comedians and the RUDE producers featuring a full night of entertainment:
8PM – Let’s Leave South 4th Bar, an escape room/comedy show hybrid (Jason Weitzman, Marybess Pritchett, Jessika Stocker, Dan Hanf, Larry Sass-Ainsworth, Chase Montavon, Rome Davis, Julianna Goldbas, D. Arthur, Ian Lockwood)
8:30PM – ABC: Anything But Comedy, an anti-comedic variety show (Dash Turner, D. Arthur, guests)
9PM – Sponsored By Fat Tire, RUDE’s flagship stand up show (Sophie Zucker, Charlie Bardey, guests)
10PM – RUDE Open Mic (sign ups at 9PM)
In addition to the celebration, RUDE is restructuring their weekly format, beginning with the April 10th anniversary night, adding new equipment and an overhauled show schedule from 8-10pm. The first two hours of RUDE will feature programmed shows culminating with the new RUDE open mic at 10pm (show submissions will still be directed to www.rudecomedy.com/pitch.
