Can crosswords be cool? Back in the day you might have been beat up for revealing your word puzzle fascination, but today you can be FREE with your love of language. Wednesday, December 11th at Dynasty Typewriter, your host Zach Sherwin (“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” “Epic Rap Battles of History”) will preside as three panelists solve a crossword puzzle LIVE onstage for all to see. THE CROSSWORD SHOW is so much more than just solving a puzzle though. Every time the solvers figure out a clue, Sherwin uses a multimedia slide presentation, comedy, wordplay and pop-culture trivia to help the panelists zoom in on the answer word. But that’s not all! Sherwin also interjects some signature rhyming elements into the clues (like one is apt to do). There’s “Across Clues” and a “Down Clues” rap, plus the grand finale is ditty that brings together all of the puzzle’s answer words. Go sucks it, Sudoku! Be there for all the fun!
