MISFIT VARIETY show makes it Under St. Mark’s debut TOMORROW, June 5th. Comedian Lauren LoGiudice knows that being different isn’t just uncomfortable – in today’s world, it can feel downright dangerous. That’s why she’s bringing her Time Out NY recommended Misfit Variety Show: A Joyful Comedy Nite to you, the adoring audience.

Every city has its misfits, but not every city has a place where misfits can truly belong, says LoGiudice. “We’re not just putting on a show – we’re building temporary autonomous zones of weirdness where people can shed the boxes society puts them in.”

What sets the Misfit Variety Show apart is its ability to transform personal discomfort into collective celebration. When audience members share their anonymous stories of awkwardness and alienation, the resulting laughter becomes a form of group therapy.

There’s something magical about hearing two hundred people laugh at your most embarrassing moment. Suddenly, the thing that made you feel like an outsider becomes your ticket to belonging.

The show features standup comedy, storytelling, and some character work. LoGiudice brings her signature blend of heartwarmingly irreverent comedy about her experiences. The June 5th performances will feature

MUSICAL COMEDY from Angela Di Carlo (ADD Cabaret)

STAND-UP from improver & performer Lily Armstrong (New York Comedy Fest), as well as Benny Feldman (Comedy Central)

STORYTELLING by Kristal Adams (Hulu)

PLUS DJ Sevrin Willinger (Edinburgh Fringe Fest)

Directed by Kate Sisk & produced by Amelia Gorman

The show is roving celebration of human complexity, transforming individual quirks into collective joy, where categories dissolve and genuine connection flourishes. In a world increasingly divided by labels, the Misfit Variety Show offers a radical proposition: perhaps the only label we need is gorgeously weird.
